Internship description

Brooklyn Winery is looking for seasonal harvest interns for the upcoming 2022 vintage. Located in Brooklyn, NY, Brooklyn Winery is the premier urban winery focused on quality. We produce ~9000 cases annually with a focus on the best AVA'a in the country, from the Finger Lakes, NY to Carneros, CA. A very unique opportunity to get hands on experience with a wide range of styles from multiple and distinct AVA's. Previous experience is a plus, but not required. Housing not provided.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

- cleaning and sanitizing equipment

- grape sorting and processing

- punch downs and pump overs

- yeast/nutrient additions

- racking/wine and juice movements

- analysis, Brix and Temperature

- fermentation management

Qualified candidates must be:

- Attentive to detail

- Able to work long and flexible hours

- Able to lift and carry 50+ pounds

- Able to safely climb ladders, equipment etc.
