THE ROLE:
We are looking for an individual who shares the same creative vision and work ethic as we do at M&G and has a passion for all things food and hospitality!
As Operations Manager you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the business and delivering an exceptional product and service to our clientele. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- General management of production department including management of logistics, managing driver team, route planning & scheduling.
- Managing ordering of production goods and dry goods and maintaining appropriate par levels.
- Managing operations, event logistics and packing for full service events.
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels in the production department including hiring and firing and assist executive chef with hiring kitchen staff, training, staff development and staffing assessment.
- Manage processing of all new employees including inputting and setting up new staff in the M&G staffing system.
- Review of monthly production costs and researching and implementing new cost-effective strategies.
- General management tasks that include but not limited to: Licensing, insurance, reporting, invoicing, creating and managing systems.
- Oversee general maintenance and management of vehicle fleet and general maintenance of M&G workspace.
- Maintain a safe work environment including management of COVID-19 compliance
- Research & implement new sustainability measures which are viable for the company and in line with company ethos.
- Maintain familiarity with a variety of the fields’ concepts, practices, and procedures within the events & hospitality industry
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- 2-4 years management experience in a hospitality setting preferably events/catering.
- Ability to work autonomously and make educated decisions for the business.
- A great knowledge of food and food processes.
- Communication and leadership skills are second to none!
- Extremely detail orientated, amazing time management skills
- Capable of delegating to and overseeing multiple staff members concurrently.
- Able to lift to 40lbs
- Computer Skills: Word, Excel, Outlook
- Willing to go the extra mile when needed!

Hours: Generally Monday through Friday (approx. 6:30am – 4pm). Some additional weekend work or after hours work maybe required for events.

Compensation
this position is: salaried, $50,000 - $75,000
