Health Chefs are a service based company who offers personal chef services, semi-private chef services, and private chef placement for New York City, The Hamptons (Long Island), Northern Jersey, Florida, and beyond. It was created by two private chefs that are passionate about providing sustainable and health supportive meals for our clients. Health Chefs carefully selects chefs to pair with each client to provide a perfect match for creating a unique experience.
Job description
THE POSITION
This position for a personal chef takes on several clients a week. Personal chef jobs range from private dinners, brunches, parties up to 25, weekend hire, short term placement, and seasonal placement. Personal chefs plan menus based on a wide spectrum of dietary restrictions. For each job the chef creates a unique menu for all services, does all the food sourcing, food preparation, set up, and clean up.

- Service-oriented
- Dedicated Self-Starter
- Excellent communicators & extremely organized
- Highly experienced & talented in the kitchen
- Genuinely interested in helping people live healthier lives
- Knowledgeable when working with various diets (paleo, whole30, vegan, keto, low-FODMAP, etc.), allergies & other dietary restrictions
- Positive, honest, accommodating & flexible
- Absolutely EXCITED about meal prepping and constant weekly clients or dinner parties!!
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1-2 years of personal chef or professional culinary experience or culinary degree
- Reliable transportation
- Have availability Sunday + Monday + Tuesday
- Must pass a verified background check.
- Have liability insurance and workers compensation and be able to provide proof.
- Must genuinely love to create veggie forward flavorful + seasonal meals
- Must be interested in helping others sustain a lifestyle of eating organic nutrient dense meals
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for communicating with your client about arrival times and if you are running late
- You will be in charge of keeping track of your clients allergies, preferences, weekly menus, and meal feedback.
- Keeping track of your cook days and food receipts for each client
- Curates’ specialty items from suppliers, Including but not limited to farm stands, butchers, fisherman, specialty stores, and bakeries.
- Create customized meal plans for a week or a month.
- Stock the client’s pantry with requested foods.
COMPENSATION:
The compensation process is as follows: Flat day rate, depending on the client.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $400.00 - $800.00 per day or more
