We're a well-established meat and seafood importer/distributor looking for a food-savvy sales assistant to support our small but nimble sales team in the Seattle area. The sales assistant will work closely with our sales team to maintain foodservice and retail accounts throughout Seattle and the surrounding areas. Success in the sales assistant role puts that person on track for a promotion to salesperson and substantial career growth.

Primary tasks are

• Servicing existing accounts & soliciting phone orders
• Order entry
• Developing new account leads
• Assisting with credit application processing & accounts receivable.
• Overseeing trade show equipment & inventory.
• Liaising with the marketing & administrative team.

The successful candidate is

• Knowledgeable about restaurant, retail and/or wholesale foodservice
• Enthusiastic & curious about food and cooking, in particular meat and seafood
• Smart, personable, and motivated to deliver top customer care
• Detail oriented
• Technologically proficient

Compensation

this position is: salaried, $50,000 - $75,000
