Job Title: Demo & Event Ambassador

Location: Seattle, WA

Start Date: ASAP 

Specific Duties of the Brand Ambassador 

Represent the Barnacle Foods brand  

• Share our brand story with prospective customers 
• Answer questions about the Barnacle brand and why we believe kelp is the future of food 
• Help people fall in love with our brand and become ambassadors for our products 
• Maintain a friendly, respectful, and approachable demeanor  
• Generating brand awareness through word-of-mouth marketing

Share our mission and product with prospective customers, running demos at grocery stores and events in the area

• Sample, describe, and sell Barnacle products with knowledge and enthusiasm 
• Setup and breakdown at in-store demos and special events according to Barnacle guidelines and standards 
• Interact confidently with others, including those who may be reluctant to engage
• Communicate respectfully with store managers, store staff, and event management

Communicate with Barnacle leadership 

• Write summary reports to share out with the broader team 
• Respond in a timely manner to emails, Slack messages, and other communications 
• Openly ask for the support you need to perform your role effectively

• Someone who shares our mission, and is passionate about food, our brand, and our products 
• A highly motivated, self-starter
• A friendly, approachable person who loves to talk with people 
• Results-oriented, organized, and enthusiastic 
• A quick learner with the ability to pay close attention to detail

Requirements:

• Because this role requires demoing at grocery stores throughout the greater Seattle area with the need to transport products and equipment, we only recommend that applicants with access to a vehicle apply. Mileage will be reimbursed.
• Excellent communication skills
• A neat appearance, and superb customer focus
• Must be able to stand for the duration of a demo or event, and lift 30-pound boxes
