Looking for a hardworking, passionate chef to help lead our culinary team. Besides being a great cook, we’re looking for someone upbeat, enthusiastic and personable. Must be able to maintain a clean workspace and be responsible for their station in a high volume atmosphere.
Responsibilities include:
Executing prep and operation of the restaurant on a day to day level.
Assist the executive chef on daily specials and menu development.
Learning all dishes and cooking on stations which include sauté, grill, garmo and expo.
Working as a team to ensure quality and consistency across the board.
Maintaining food safety protocols.
Working alongside the executive chef keeping inventory, placing orders and FIFOing all stock.
Maintaining a clean kitchen.
The ideal candidate has:
1-3+ kitchen management experience
Great communication and leadership skills
1-2 years of line cook work history
Familiarity with food cost and POS systems
Recent references
Ability to commute or relocate to Craryville, NY
Passion for food and attention to detail
This is a full time, year round position-very busy summer and much quieter winter. Salary commensurate with experience.
