ILLATA is a Modern American restaurant opening in Philly's Grad Hospital neighborhood this spring with a focus on seafood and seasonal produce. With culinary and leadership experience coming from New York City and Copenhagen, we dream of being a space that brings people together through thoughtful food and responsible hospitality. We aim to work with local farmers, fishermen, and other producers who take part in the regenerative movement. We’re excited to share ILLATA with our city.
Job description
ILLATA is hiring a full-time server to join our small team. We’re looking for someone who cares about creating an approachable yet elevated dining experience, and has ambitions to be a part of a healthier, more transparent hospitality industry.
We will provide training and menu tastings from your first day until your last day regarding all things sourcing, flavors, and talking points. The goal is to have more than enough knowledge and experience with our menu that you never feel ill-equipped while chatting with guests. Currently, we are a BYOB, but we plan on acquiring a liquor license as soon as we can.
ILLATA will be open Thursday-Monday, 5-10pm. As a full-time server, you will likely be working 4pm to11pm, four days per week. Must have weekend availability. Prior experience is welcome, but not required. We're hiring people, not resumes.
Compensation
this position is: hourly, $20/hr +
