Job description Marlow & Daughters, the butcher and specialty foods shop in Williamsburg, is seeking an experienced cook to join our team as Prepared Foods Chef.

We are a small team that works together to provide warm, thoughtful service to our customers and community.

Responsibilities include:
- In partnership with the management team, implementing team goal setting and performance management, learning and development, and annual operational planning that ensure alignment with short- and long-term objectives
- Designing, developing, and planning the shop’s rotating, seasonal prepared foods and catering menus
- Managing prepared foods staff schedule, workflow, and productivity in accordance with business demand
- Continuously recruit, hire, and train talent to build an agile, diverse, committed team
- Directing and working alongside the prepared foods team to:
     - Cook and prepare value-added products such as roasts, charcuterie, salads dips, and soups
     - Create and stock enticing displays of prepared foods, cheese, charcuterie, produce, and grocery items
     - Execute menus for drop off catering packages
- Engaging and assisting customers knowledgeably, with enthusiasm and generosity
- Working with shop team to set up / break down displays at opening / closing
- Tending the cash register as needed Compensation this position is : salaried, varies DOE, $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 Application instructions
