Job description
Snap pea catering is looking for Prep Cooks to join us for the busy catering season . The ideal candidate has previous experience with food prep, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is capable of taking direction well and multi-tasking effectively. A successful candidate will have restaurant industry experience, a passion for food prep, and strong skills and confidence cooking a variety of dishes using various techniques . Bonus points if you've worked or have a passion for seasonal local foods. We usually prep once a week on Thursdays for 6 to 8 hours a shift. This position is perfect for a seasoned professional who's looking to make some consistent money for months at a time.
Responsibilities:
- Showing up in a timely manner and ready to work
- Reliable transportation to Piedmont food processing commissary in Hillsborough, Nc
- Ability to multi-task and work cleanly
- Cooking various products without using recipes
- Familiarity with local foods,meats and cooking techniques
- Able to take direction and complete projects in a timely manner
- Share cleaning duties with the rest of the staff and clean up space to the facilities standards
- Have a good work ethic and positive can do attitude
- Get along well and work with a small team
Compensation
this position is: hourly, $20/hr +
