New Day School (www.newdayschool.org) is a non-profit, state certified preschool facility that has been serving in SE Portland neighborhood for 35 years. We are seeking an energetic, self-motivated, organized and friendly applicant for a full time cook/dishwasher position of 35 hrs. per week.
Qualifications:
-Current enrollment in Oregon's Criminal History Registry
-A High School diploma or equivalent and must be at least 18 years of age
-Current Food Handler's Certification valid in the state of Oregon.
-Work experience in cooking and/or food preparation for a large group of people
-Must be able to do hard physical work including lifting up to 50 lbs.
-Preferred but not necessary for hire: Previous experience of working in a commercial kitchen or food truck environment and previous experience cooking for children
