Job description
Fin Du Monde is looking to hire a part-time cook and team member. As a cook at our restaurant, your responsibilities will transcend the traditional responsibilities of preparing food items and executing complete dishes during service.
We are a great teaching kitchen, and we are looking for somebody humble enough to spend time in the dish pit, and ambitious enough to learn advanced culinary techniques and grow into an essential part of our team.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
-Work the line in a small, busy kitchen, side-by-side with the chef every day
-Butcher fish and poultry regularly
-Learn traditional charcuterie methods
-Make fresh pasta
-Make a diverse array of traditional pastries
-Clean station and do dishes
Requirements:
-The ideal candidate has a passion for cooking, eagerness to learn and an open mind.
-Some kitchen or cooking experience, or related education required.
-Familiarity with DOH protocols.
-A willingness to be flexible with responsibilities and scheduling when necessary.
This is a part-time position with a consistent schedule with room to grow in the future.
There is a guaranteed pay raise after 3 months, with the potential for increased opportunities down the line.
