Fresh Love is hiring for baristas, servers and kitchen staff! We are a quickly growing NE Portland restaurant/local food store. We serve a variety of tasty food including sandwiches, fresh pressed juices, smoothies, shakes, espresso and more. We take pride in sourcing many of our ingredients and merchandise direct from local farmers and makers.

• You ideally have some experience in restaurants and cafes.

• You have a flexible daytime schedule for part-time hours of up to 25 hours per week, potentially more.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Making a variety of espresso drinks
• Making smoothies and fresh juices
• Taking orders, operating point of sale system and delivering food to tables
• Prep ingredients for various menu items
• Stock and arrange front of house merchandise
• Follow proper food safety and hygiene standards set forth by the state and ownership/management
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop

REQUIREMENTS

• Exhibits positive energy and a go-getter attitude.
• Flexibility in scheduling - holidays, mornings, afternoons, weekends.
• Ability to work 5-8 hours per day active and standing.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs.

Pay & Perks

• Bi-weekly pay
• Starting pay $16-$17(depending on experience) + Tips. (total income with tips translates to ~ $25-28/hr )

• Serve customers in the shop; taking orders and delivering food to tables
• Prep ingredients for breakfast and lunch items
• Stock and arrange the front of house merchandise
• Follow food safety and hygiene standards set forth by the state and ownership/management.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop, including but not limited to: food prep areas, work stations, refrigerators, bathrooms, outdoor seating area.
• Communicate proactively with manager on duty about items to be ordered, fixed, customer feedback, etc.
• Become familiar with our juices and smoothies, coffee, grocery, sandwiches & prepared foods, etc by making & tasting everything!

REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to wear multiple hats.
