Bluebird Landscapes is a woman owned garden service in Charlottesville Virginia. We provide fine gardening services such as container gardening, rose and specimen pruning, perennial care and seasonal plantings and decorations, as well as routine maintenance services like weeding and watering. We believe that plants hold rich relationships with each other and with us, and that this connection can be strengthened and enjoyed in spaces that are both beautiful and healthy. Every garden is as unique as its owner and Bluebird Landscapes’ goal is to honor and enhance this character by developing a long term relationship with both client and landscape.

Job description

We provide fine garden maintenance services to residential clients who wish to keep their gardens beautiful and healthy! Our daily work includes flower care, pruning, weeding, watering, fertilizing, container care and other garden tasks. We do not cut grass, provide large scale installations, or use power equipment other than battery powered blowers. We meet each morning at Bluebird HQ, load our tools, and spend the rest of the day working in gardens in and around Charlottesville. This is an active job that involves bending, carrying, and lots of walking. We seek employees who are interested in horticulture and who enjoy working outside.

Horticultural experience is a plus but is not necessary. We are looking for people with the following qualifications:

• Interest in horticulture and gardening
• Great attitude
• Reliability
• Driver’s license (to get to different job sites)
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather
