Company description
We are a small farm growing certified organic produce and flowers on 4 acres in seacoast Maine. Our focus is on growing the most delicious, nutrient-dense produce while creating a welcoming and authentic farm experience for the public.
Our farm store is the dynamic hub of the farm, bursting full of our fresh products as well as other items that we buy in, highlighting grocery staples, specialty foods and treats that are plant-based and locally-made whenever possible. Our customers range from loyal locals who have been shopping with us for over 10 years, to tourists just passing through the area. Ongoing activities at the farm include pick-your-own flowers, a soft-serve ice cream operation, cooking classes and monthly dinners.
Job description
Frinklepod Farm Store Associates are the face and handshake of the farm. They are responsible for creating a positive customer experience and making sales of our farm-grown produce and the other products sold in the store. Associates work closely with our Retail Manager (Farm Co-Owner) who will provide ongoing education about the products we carry, especially the ever-changing selection of seasonal produce, and what’s happening on the farm, as well as guidance on updating signage and displays.
We prefer for our associates to work half-day shifts in the farm store. There is also the possibility of adding hours to your day by helping run our soft-serve operation (in a separate building) and/or to assist with some flower farming duties including weeding, harvesting, and making retail bouquets.
