Grouse Hunt Farms is in search of a dynamic, creative, collaborative and results-driven Production Manager to take the lead on all production-related tasks at our facility in Tamaqua, PA. This individual will direct and manage all facets of daily food production and strive for the highest possible quality to ensure that our customers’ standards are being exceeded with every run.

The Production Manager position is considered a mid-level management position. The person who fills this position will work directly with the Plant Manager and oversee all production employees on a daily basis. Specific responsibilities are outlined below but will evolve with the business. We look forward to adding the right candidate to the team.
Duties & Responsibilities Include:
· Overseeing and coordinating the entire production process for a shift
· Ensuring a safe, quality-focused and efficient production process
· Driving a continuous improvement mindset
· Monitoring and Managing quality and food safety programs in conjunction with other departments to meet company and regulatory objectives
· Training and motivating line employees in production and GMP
· Developing repeat processes to ensure consistency and safety
· Collaborating with Management on any employee concerns or issues
· Ensuring direct reports are adhering to company policy and administering practices in a fair and equitable manner
· Communicating effectively with employees, vendors and customers
· Assisting with quality control and compliance tests
· Reviewing quality documentation necessary for regulatory submissions and inspections
· Participating in team meetings and communications as appropriate
· Organizing and maintaining all necessary documents
· Expected to assume responsibilities as designed to provide coverage in the absence of key personnel
Position Requirements:
· Food processing experience
· Experience dealing with food safety regulatory authorities
· Training and experience in sanitation and cleaning procedures
· Training with certification and experience in HACCP, Good Manufacturing Practices, SafeServ, or other Manufacturing Processes
· Strong record keeping skills
· Supervisory experience in a production environment
· Good understanding of the relationship of processing equipment and formulation
· Proven ability to work well with management, peers and subordinates
· Excellent interpersonal, team building and communication skills
· Exceptional verbal and written communication
· Strong ability to influence, provide leadership and work in either a team environment or independently
· Able to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
· High level of accountability, accuracy and efficiency, especially when multitasking
· Exceptional attendance and punctuality
· Bilingual (Spanish & English) a plus
