Company description The Brooklyn Kitchen is a radical cooking school devoted to teaching people how to cook like grown-ups. We are woman owned, and have been leading the scene in recreational culinary education since 2006. Job description Apply to The BkK! You will know how to help elevate the vibe while assisting with student needs, recipe prep and kitchen maintenance. We need a collaborator who helps the Chef Instructor shine while highlighting the best qualities of The Brooklyn Kitchen.

Responsibilities:

o   Assist the Chef Instructor execute curriculum proprietary to The BkK

o   Anticipate the needs of the Chef Instructor and guests

o   Travel off-site to assist with mobile classes/events

o   Assist with sourcing and procuring ingredients for all classes

o   Set tone and aesthetic both onsite at Williamsburg and at a mobile event while always adhering to The BkK’s technical and moral standards

o   Troubleshoot all guest issues as they arise

o   Content Creation: photos/reels must be curated before and after each class of mise en place as well as ingredient unboxing and sourcing etc.

o   Assist guests in content capture

o   Assist guests correct errors and maintain their stations

o   Strict adherence to food safety standards

o   Keep all hazards out of the way – ensure kitchen is always safe for personnel and guests

o   Maintain kitchen sanitation

o   Always embody The BkK brand during operation
 

Qualifications:

o   Expert customer service skills

o   Highly empathetic problem solver

o   Personable and engaging
