Fancy Girl Table is a full-service, woman-owned artisan catering company serving New York City, the Hudson Valley and the greater Tri-State area.
We believe that a shorter path from the earth to table results in better flavor, color, and quality.
All our ingredients are locally sourced from organic farms and providers with whom we maintain personal relationships.
We use only ethically-farmed animal products, wild-caught seafood and specialize in gourmet vegetarian and vegan creations. Job description We are seeking upbeat and talented chefs to join our team!
Currently we are offering a freelance schedule for kitchen prep and event chefs , varying from part-time to full-time depending on the workload.
In combination with our corporate accounts, we are entering into wedding season. We expect the schedule to be mostly full through the holidays.
Looking for chefs on all experience levels, competitive pay accordingly. Opportunity for growth.
Requirements:
-flexible shift hours and/or clarity on what you can/cannot do. We are flexible and work to meet the needs of all our staff members
-ability to work as a team player /leader
-ability to work with a positive attitude
-maintains a clean and organized work space, understands the Department of Health regulations and follows them diligently (and/or takes instruction well on how to do so)
-ability to work in a detail-oriented, fast-paced environment
-has a passion for food! We take pride in our work and require that to be translated in our products. From preparation to presentation, every detail matters
Some preferences (you may have one or all of these):
-experience in a catering or restaurant prep kitchen and/or catering events
-interest in working off-site events in NYC, Hudson Valley, and the Catskills. Primarily all of our weddings are upstate at beautiful venues from farmhouses to private estates
-experience in proofer box cooking/heating
-interest in setting up corporate breakfasts/lunches/cocktail parties when needed
-food handlers certificate
-early morning availability
Compensation this position is : hourly, varies DOE, $20.00 - $50.00 Application instructions
