Company description Toki Underground is a tiny, 26 seat, award-winning ramen house and izakaya established in Washington, DC since 2011. We are beyond excited to open our second location in Baltimore on Greenmount Ave in the Harwood neighborhood. The greenmount location has an eleven seat bar, more than 75 seats total as well as exterior space for private events and programming. The kitchen is open and shares space with the bar for an intimate dining experience. We specialize in tonkotsu ramen and serve delicious small plates and appetizers, as well as Japanese beer, sake and cocktails. The menu will be similar to the OG DC Location, but with the bigger kitchen and bar we're excited to build upon our well established menu and style for the Baltimore homies.   Job description We are on course to be open by the end of June and plan to open initially 5 days a week 5p-late Wednesday-Sunday as well as for takeout all day. We will have approx two weeks of training and soft opening prior to launching proper and are looking for a Front of house Manager to support the GM/Owner in getting the team and operations in place. The ideal candidate will have a background in Asian cuisine, experience managing a small team, have a strong business mindset, be a solid communicator and be comfortable taking initiative and solving problems. We are looking for someone who loves food, can rise to a challenge, work hard, enjoy making money and work well with a team. Less experienced candidates with the right attitude and drive are welcome. Don't be shy, we are looking for all types of people and you may suit the role perfectly - anything is possible.

Training:
Will take place at our DC location so the candidate will need to travel to DC for approx two weeks of training. Travel expenses will be reimbursed.

Role:
*quality control for service and food
* maintaining kitchen organization, safety and hygiene in accordance with MD laws and efficiency of service

Expectations:

*At least 2 years of kitchen management experience and 5 years experience in fast paced, high volume restaurants
*Familiarity with POS

*Ability to lift 25 lbs. or more

*Provide excellent hospitality to guests
