In 2019 we purchased a picturesque new home farm on Broad Cove in Bremen, Maine. Construction has begun on our new kitchen facility and we look forward to processing our first batches of Sauerkraut there in the Summer of 2020.
Our products are sold in natural food stores and large grocery chains in Maine and across Southern New England. We also attend the Portland Farmers' Market on Saturdays in May through November and have been members since 2006. Job description Job Overview
Thirty Acre Farm is seeking a personable, hard working, organized, self motivated, experienced marketing and sales manager. The main responsibilities for this position include management of social media and website, servicing current accounts, and developing new accounts in Maine and around the region.
The position will be filled by a qualified applicant local to the New England Region. Much of the daily work can be done remotely from home but needs to be balanced with time on the road building customer relations, servicing accounts, creating new accounts, and promoting the farm’s products
Duties and Responsibilities
- Management of social media accounts
- Maintain and update website
- Creation of content for website and social media
- Develop sales and promotional materials
- Organize and execute marketing campaigns I.e. in store samplings
- Track sales and analyze trends to focus marketing efforts
- Service current accounts via telephone, email, and in person visits
- Develop new accounts both in Maine and around the region
- Develop strategies to drive sales in new and current markets
- Maintain and develop relationships with distributors
- Hours: 40 hours per week year round
- Hard working, personable, organized, self motivated, and able to take direction
- Working knowledge of Quickbooks and Excel
- Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator and graphic design skills
- Social media literacy
- Valid drivers license to fulfill job duties
- Prior experience in the food industry a plus
- Passion for and understanding of organic agriculture and local food systems
Compensation
- Yearly salary based on experience
- Mileage paid for travel
