 JOB DESCRIPTION

Buon’Italia is looking for a Sales Representative to grow business by obtaining new customers and increase business with existing customers. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, is detail oriented, and has an entrepreneurial spirit.


Customer Service & Sales

  • Achieve Sales goals and objectives in assigned territory
  • Attend Company sales team meetings and provide information to management about sales figures, goals and obstacles
  • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products (current and new), delivery schedules and merchandising techniques
  • Responsible for maintenance and identification of new sales opportunities within existing accounts by analyzing current sales and volume, planning sales call and following up
  • Provide exemplary customer service, makes sales calls and presentations outside of the office as often as necessary to maintain a solid customer relationship and as required to increase sales/penetration.
  • Responds timely to customer questions and inquiries and is courteous and professional to enhance customer satisfaction
  • Responsible for the creation and ongoing development of customer communication including new product notifications
  • Create and enter orders into database
  • Prospect and develop new customers, cold calling, networking as needed
  • Assist in collecting monies due from accounts as per Buon’italia credit policies
  • Participate in marketing opportunities; sales events
  • Periodically deliver product to customer (average weight of product is 30 to 50 pounds per case)

Preferred Characteristics & Qualifications 

  • Very comfortable in a start-up/entrepreneurial environment
  • Organized, proactive and enjoys learning
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Excel, SAP is a plus
  • Previous experience with sales
  • Strong communication skills both written and in person
  • Ability to rapidly learn and incorporate lessons learned
  • Self-starter, adept at independent problem solving, ability to multitask
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Ability to communicate in Italy

Compensation, Benefits, and Other  

  • Compensation for this position will be based on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate
  • Sales targeted bonus potential
