Purpose & Description: Nashville Foodscapes is seeking a full-time team member to lead and manage garden and landscape build projects. Primary builds will include custom raised bed gardens, trellises, pergolas, arbors, garden fences, and more based on our clients needs. This position will work in coordination with the Installation, Design, and Sales Teams.


Responsibilities:  

  • Manage and coordinate construction installation projects based on custom designs and Nashville Foodscapes’ standards. Includes the following activities: 

    • Assist with estimating, planning, and executing jobs with Sales, Design, and Installation teams

    • Participate in site visits and understand full scope of each job site and project 

    • Understand contract specifications (budget and schedule) for each job and ensure they meet NFS standards and client expectations

    • Communicate all necessary information (job planners, site plans/designs, and punch lists) to crews in advance of each project

    • Manage all assigned crew members in the field to job completion and according to NFS standards 

    • Ensure costs stay within assigned budgets and communicate with the Sales team about any deviation from budgets or schedule

    • Ensure all field reporting and records are completed accurately and flow effectively between field and office

  • Assist Head of Installation with the following: 

    • Maintaining material and tool inventories 

    • Scheduling tool and equipment rentals 

    • Coordinating material and supplies pickups  

    • Maintaining that all equipment and materials stay within assigned budgets 

  • Participate in Administrative Roles including:

    • Attend weekly scheduling meetings (Every Monday)

    • Assist with training new crew members in coordination with Crew Care Manager

    • Document and record final punch lists, receipts, cost actuals, and site photos in a timely manner

    • Assist in Click Up pipeline management (Click Up training to be provided if needed)

    • Participate in performance reviews of Installation crew with other managers 

  • Participate in other installation and maintenance duties as needed. Projects may include:

    • Plant installations, hardscaping, garden maintenance, etc. 

  • Ensure all work is completed in adherence to safety policies & guidelines. Reports any accident or safety violation to the Installation Dept. Head and Crew Care Manager

  • Maintain a high level of good housekeeping & care of company assets in the field, vehicles, lot, office, & client work-sites.

  • Stay aware of Best Practices. Develop and recommend improved work methods and standards. 

  • Maintain regular & reliable attendance at a level acceptable to the company. Position requires extended work hours & flexibility in scheduling. Position may also coordinate & manage maintenance projects and work as crew on projects managed by other PMs.

Qualifications:

  • Related field experience / 3-5 years preferred  

  • 2 years supervisory experience preferred 

  • Experience with general carpentry and power tools

  • Experience with operating landscaping trucks, trailers, and large machinery 

  • Ability and willingness to lift 50+ pounds

  • Ability and willingness to work outside in the elements 

  • A willingness to learn from multiple team members and jump in where needed 

  • We generally work outside doing installs and maintenance year round with the expectation that the months of July/August & December-March will include a slower pace and vacation. However, if desired, we’re committed to keeping this position going through the winter. It will take some flexibility and creativity. Please bear that in mind.  

  • Proficiency with Google Suite, Slack, Click Up

  • Driver’s license

Compensation

  • Hourly rate of $28-$30 (depending on experience)

  • Accrued PTO 

  • Time off for holidays

  • We are a worker-owned cooperative, so this includes a track to ownership and profit sharing
