Located in the heart of downtown Ann Arbor, MI, Cascabel Concepts is a 10-year-old hospitality company with expertise in full-service restaurant operations. Our current portfolio includes two unique restaurants: Mani Osteria & Bar, a casual Italian restaurant that specializes in wood-fired pizza, housemade pasta, and seasonal antipasti and Isalita, Cantina Mexicana, a Mexican market/street food inspired menu and bar program.

ABOUT MANI + ISALITA
Mani Osteria & Bar is a 100+ seat multi-day-part Italian eatery that is located in the quintessential college town of Ann Arbor, MI. We specialize in pizza, pasta, seasonal antipasti, and more.

Isalita Cantina Mexicana is a multi-day-part Mexican street food inspired restaurant that sits alongside Mani Osteria + Bar in Ann Arbor, MI.

Our scratch kitchens have been busy since doors opened 10+ years ago, we attribute our longevity and success to the warm and genuine hospitality of our staff, a lively dining room feel. Our open kitchens add energy and entertainment. We take great pride in our menus of recognizable, accessible and unpretentious dishes that are quality-driven, value sensitive, and flavorful.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Chefs are responsible to lead all back of house (BOH) operations; mentor and coach the BOH team; and ensure effective and efficient BOH operations including but not limited to the creation, preparation, presentation, and timing of all menu items.

The right chef is:

• A mature and passionate professional, leader, mentor, team builder, and problem solver who maintains a calm nature in the face of adversity
• humble in their approach to learning and professional self-development, and an eagerness and ability to develop and teach others.
• Energetic and enthusiastic with strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.

And possess:

• Leadership qualities and a proven track record for inspiring, coaching and mentoring
• Experience as Sous Chef/ Kitchen Management in a high volume and highly rated kitchen
• A desire to continue to grow and learn in all aspects related to culinary and leadership
