In addition to our markets, our headquarters in Portland, Maine is home to our state-of-the-art production kitchen, bakery, and distribution warehouse.

Rosemont Market and Bakery is committed to serving our communities by supporting our local food system. Seventeen years ago when we opened our first market on Brighton Avenue, we would walk the rows of the Portland Farmer’s Market and invite farmers to sell us what was left from that day’s haul. Today, many of those farmers remain valuable Rosemont suppliers and some of our closest friends. At present, over 60% of the products in our markets are grown or produced in the state of Maine. Rosemont: Assistant Manager Opening on our Bread Team!
Rosemont Market & Bakery has an Assistant Manager opening on our bread team! We are looking for a leader with a focus on quality, consistency, and process improvement to help manage this high-volume production team.
In this position, you can expect to:
-Lead by example and support 10-15 team members in their growth and development.
-Develop and improve processes with a focus on efficiency, quality and consistency.
-Apply industry standard best practices in a small business setting.
-Collaborate with co-workers on baking, packaging, process improvement and cleaning projects.
-Work with ingredients from here and away and participate in seasonal menu development.
Applicant Must-Haves:
-A passion for food, especially local food.
-Strong leadership skills and a passion for helping others grow and develop.
-Strong focus on continuous improvement and efficiency.
-Strong interpersonal communication skills.
-Strong organization, time management and prioritization skills.

-Ability to lift and carry 50lbs.
-Ability to stand for the majority of shift.
-Some weekend availability.
Wage:
$20.50 – $22.50 per hour depending on recent, relevant experience.
This is an exempt position and the schedule will be Tuesday - Saturday: 6:30- 2:30 OR Sunday - Thursday: 6-30 - 2:30
