Located in the foothills of the Catskill Mountains, the Ashram provides a serene, natural environment with woods and meadows surrounding a lake. Accommodations are simple and meals are vegetarian.
Job description
We are seeking a Part-Time Weekend Vegetarian cook at a Yoga Retreat in Monroe, NY for 18-22 hours.
Friday 2:30 - 8 pm
Saturday 9:30 am - 1:30 pm & 2:30 - 8 pm
Sunday 9:30 am - 4:30 pm
Meals are served buffet style for 30 - 60 guests. We are looking for a cook with the following skillset:
- culinary experience
- cleanliness, health & food safety conscious
- team player, works well with others
- knowledge of organic & natural foods
- attention to detail
- creative multitasker
- good organizational skills
Benefits include free yoga, meditation, cultural events, concerts, performances and meals.
Weekend overnight accommodation is provided if needed.
Compensation
this position is: hourly, varies DOE, $18.00 - $25.00
