Company description Rosenkrans local market is located in the heart of the Finger lakes region in Upstate New York. the market is primarily a meat market that specializes in whole animal butchering. All  beef and pork is raised on our farm or partnering farms located in the region. Rosenkrans Market also serves as A end market for a sister company Rosenkrans natural beef, which is a USDA wholesale processing facility. Job description A unique opportunity for the right person to take command and oversee a popular neighborhood butcher shop in beautiful upstate New York.  All of our products are from the same whole animals sourced for our steaks and roasts, aged on premise. Candidates must have at least 1 year of retail or wholesale butchery experience and strong interpersonal skills for customer support and interaction. The chosen candidate will have the following strengths and qualifications:

• Prior experience as a Butcher in a high-volume establishment is required
• Be able to understand and communicate in English, both verbally and in writing
• Cut and portion raw meat (beef, pork, lamb, poultry) into retail-ready case cuts and restaurant orders, and prepare / assemble value-added meat products (sausage, charcuterie, etc.)
• Be available full time with a willingness to work weekends and some holidays
• Assist in verifying, receiving, unloading, and carrying deliveries of meat products including primals of whole animal carcasses weighing up to 100 lbs
