Job description

Chef Collective is hiring for a production assistant position! We are looking for someone to join the production team to:
1. Assemble orders and help get our drivers out on their routes in the morning.
2. Help keep the cheeses happy and the warehouse organized and tidy.
3. Cut samples for customer tastings
4. Get ahead on production for the next day's orders
5. Anything else that pops up in between!

*Knowledge of specialty cheeses and foods a major plus!

ABOUT YOU:

Have an understanding of fine dining and how it works, experience working with high quality ingredients. Our customers are some of the best restaurants and most notable chefs in NYC and it is our job to make sure their expectations are met and exceeded.

Self-motivated and able to work independently, figure out what needs to be done and accomplish it.

Detail oriented, and a great communicator. Thrives in a team environment.

Upbeat and able to roll with the punches. Each day is different and holds new challenges!

Experience in specialty foods a big plus.

Experience cheesemongering a big plus.

Experience working in a professional NYC kitchen a plus.

Must be a morning person! We start early. Schedule is approx 7 am - 3 pm.

 

COMPENSATION

$58,500 per year minimum, potentially more for the right candidate.

Plenty of cheese samples!!

Compensation
