DESCRIPTION
Mamahuhu seeks a San-Francisco based Event Coordinator & Brand Ambassador to act as the face and voice of the brand. You will be charged with planning, executing, and hosting a range of brand experiences including: product demos, farmers markets, in-store events, media events, music festivals, pop-up stores, and trade shows. This is a part time role that we would like to grow to full time within one year.

CPG General Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own every aspect of the event planning process, including but not limited to: booking venues, planning the experience, sourcing decor and set-up materials, invitations, promotion, additional staffing (when needed), and success metrics
- Act as on-site brand ambassador for all events; attend each event in-person to greet guests and oversee the event’s success, and manage all set-up, tear-down, and follow up processes
- Set up, conduct, and break down product demos, including venues such as in-stores, at farmers markets, at music festivals
- Manage and execute trade show participation
- Actively work to expand Mamahuhu’s local brand presence by scouting out new opportunities: farmers markets, street fairs, local festivals, retail stores, and trade shows that align with our brand values and where we could promote our restaurants and CPG products
- Track expenses and ensure expenses stay within approved budget
- Coordinate with marketing and social media team to promote all events on Instagram, TikTok, and through our website and newsletter
- Update Mamahuhu’s Event Calendar on our website
- Uphold Mamahuhu’s brand vision and voice with every event
- Assist marketing and customer service team with other duties as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
- Located in the San Francisco Bay Area
- 1-3 years of experience as an event coordinator or senior brand ambassador, with a proven track record for organizing and acting as a brand ambassador at successful events
- Experience planning events or trade shows in the food/beverage industry
- Strong communication skills - you’re a “people person” at heart and love to elevate about brands you’re passionate about through engaging events
- Willingness and ability to ‘roll up your sleeves’ and get things done independently
- Has a passion for food, and for Mamahuhu’s mission to make it easy for people to fall in love with Chinese-American cuisine all over again
- Some cooking skills, as you will be preparing food on site using induction stove
- Always having your finger on the pulse of the next opportunity, and possesses a strong ability to act with a sense of urgency
- Flexible schedule - ability to staff night and weekend events
- Articulate, with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Outgoing personality; someone who enjoys meeting people, traveling, and seeing new places
- Access to automotive transport - your own vehicle is preferred
- Ability to carry up to 30 lbs.
NICE TO HAVE
- Ability to play Mahjong (American or Hong Kong Style)
- Strong knowledge or interest in Chinese cuisine
LOCATION
This is a hybrid position with in-person work at our 3 San Francisco restaurants and community events throughout San Francisco. You may occasionally travel for work, such as LA, Seattle, or other major metro markets around the country.
SCHEDULE
15-30 hours per week - some will be on-site at events, and some time will be spend with remote planning and scheduling.
