Eventide Fenway is Hiring a Bar Manager!
Offering pristine oysters and shellfish and a fresh take on classic New England fare alongside a roster of seafood-friendly cocktails, beer, cider, wine, and sake, Eventide Fenway is a full-service, hospitality-driven restaurant located in the heart of the Fenway neighborhood.
The Bar Manager will work closely with the General Manager to build and refine our cocktail program, purchase and track all beverage inventories, hire and train staff, develop bar related policy and procedures, and lead a team of professionals.
We are seeking individuals with proven success running a high volume, cost effective, and creative beverage program with at least 3 years of bar management experience preferred. The ideal applicant will be a team player with a positive attitude, eager to both teach and learn, motivated to work hard, and have high professional standards.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Work with bartenders and co-managers, and GM to make seasonal cocktail menus as needed
- Be a strong role model for customer service and hospitality
- Order and upkeep all beverage inventory on a regular basis, maintaining organized beverage cooler and storage shelves
- Manage required monthly inventory on the first of every month
- Update current beverage lists and descriptions as needed and facilitate staff trainings/knowledge accordingly
- Meet with distributors and schedule tastings to curate and upkeep list
- Facilitate onboarding and train staff
- Work floor shifts for service in various positions as necessary
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years restaurant experience, preferred
- At least 3 years of bar management experience, preferred
- Broad knowledge of beer, wine, spirits and cocktails
- Experience purchasing and controlling inventory
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to manage a multitude of personalities while maintaining a positive and exciting work environment
- Ability to identify and offer constructive criticism to help staff grow and evolve, creating a more enjoyable dining experience for guests
- Consistency in work, approachable demeanor, and up-beat attitude
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience with Toast and Resy, preferred
- Fluent in English language (writing, reading, and speaking)
