Job description
Stone’s Throw is seeking a dedicated and organized full-time Kitchen Manager to oversee all culinary operations at our Waterbury location. If you are passionate about food, have extensive kitchen management experience, and possess a keen eye for detail, we invite you to join our team.
Compensation: $60,000/yr
Paid sick leave after 6 months
Responsibilities:
- Order and manage products to ensure freshness and quality
- Supervise the production of Stone’s Throw products, ensuring high-quality standards
- Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment in compliance with health department and OSHA regulations
- Communicate effectively with other management through regular meetings and Slack chats
- Train entry-level team members in essential kitchen skills and enforce corrective actions as needed
- Collaborate with GM to schedule back-of-house staff
- Lead back-of-house team during service, preparation, and execution
- Contribute to menu development
- Conduct quarterly inventory assessments
- Create and update build guides, menu guides, and staff education materials
Qualifications:
- 3+ years kitchen management
- Proficiency in all areas of kitchen operations
- Expertise in product knowledge and cost-effective ordering practices.
