Position Description

The Whole Grain Stamp Program is a product labeling program in which the Whole Grains Council’s roughly 350 corporate and nonprofit members participate. Working as part of a team of two, the Stamp Program Manager oversees daily operations and management of the Whole Grain Stamp program including product registration, database management, member relationships, and accounts receivable. The Whole Grains Council Stamp Program Manager reports directly to the Whole Grains Council Director.

 

Responsibilities

WHOLE GRAIN STAMP PROGRAM

  • Manage systems related to membership, product registration, and accounts receivable
  • Work with the VP of Finance to process new memberships and manage membership renewals
  • Serve as primary contact for roughly 350 members, creating important membership documentation as requested, answering membership and Stamp-use questions, maintaining good relationships with existing members and attempting to retain members who plan not to renew
  • Conduct primary review of members’ Product Registration Forms, manage resulting questions and feedback in a positive and professional manner
  • Update website monthly with Stamp statistics
  • Assist Whole Grain Stamp Program Director in creating annual Whole Grains Council budget proposal
  • Manage recurring data-sharing partnerships
  • Assist Whole Grains Council Director with brainstorming creative ideas for promotional program events including Whole Grains Month and Whole Day for Whole Grain and aiding in their preparation and execution
  • Assist in facilitating whole grain conferences and events
  • Provide assistance to the Program Director, VP of Nutrition Programming, & President as needed

 

EDITORIAL/WRITING

  • Contribute to the Whole Grains Council’s twice-monthly blog, in rotation with VP of Nutrition Programming and Whole Grains Council Director
  • Update website educational content as needed

 

PUBLIC SPEAKING/NETWORKING

  • Represent and promote Oldways and the Whole Grains Council/Whole Grain Stamp program at various events as opportunities arise
  • Help to identify and recruit potential Whole Grains Council members, serving as point of contact

 

Skills Needed

  • Must be highly detail-oriented with strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills: patience, resourcefulness, attention to detail, and a love for building relationships
  • Ability to work productively and efficiently, both independently and with small internal teams
  • Self-motivation and a proactive, organized, results-oriented approach to work
  • Ability to look strategically at the big picture and search for insightful, creative solutions
  • Computer literacy: familiarity with Macs, Word, Excel, and Constant Contact
  • Proficiency with basic mathematics (e.g. percentages and computation)
  • A passion for cooking and healthy eating

 

This position will pay between $55-$60k annually. This is a flexible/hybrid position. Boston-area candidates are preferred, but we will consider highly qualified remote candidates who live in the Eastern or Central Time Zones.
