The Cook is an essential member of the team dedicated to providing exceptional quality and service to our guests. The Cook provides an enjoyable expertly cooked dining experience conforming to standards of excellence for quality, professionalism and friendliness. Cook’s provide experienced support to ensure that all food items are prepared to exacting standards, executed and plating guidelines. We are looking for an individual who poses an affinity for guest service! This position requires an applicant with a good level of food knowledge and experience as well as the ability to support Chefs and lead cooks to manage and execute service with a team.
Candidates must have solid personal presentation and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities
- Assist in day-to-day operation of assigned station in the kitchen.
- Self-driven, with the ability to prep, organize and execute service at peak levels.
- Ability to communicate to fellow associates and team in regards to functions and how the team will work together
- Communicate with the Sous Chefs, Executive Sous and the Executive Chef regarding menu items, problem situations or shortages.
- Work closely with standard recipes and plate presentations in order to maintain standards of quality in production and presentation.
- Ability to flex and conform to challenges presented during daily activities.
- Maintain a good working relationship with other employees.
- Store items properly at the end of the shift.
- Ensure a clean, neat and organized work area and kitchen
- Conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times to reflect the high standards Hotel Gage.
- Perform other related assignments as necessary and as assigned by management and staff.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- 2-3 years of experience in similar kitchen/catering/hotel operation.
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule in order to accomplish all major responsibilities. This may include evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Candidates must have excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills.
- This position requires the ability to lift up to 40lb.

Compensation
this position is: hourly, varies DOE, $17.00 - $23.00
