Job description

Pixie Scout is seeking a passionate and experienced food service professional to join the team behind our corporate food service at Etsy.

Pixie Scout’s corporate food team prepares and serves a range of breakfast and lunch items for Etsy employees, served in “grab-and-go” and buffet-style services. We work in well-appointed, newly-renovated kitchens and servery spaces in Etsy’s green, bright, and modern offices in Dumbo, Brooklyn.

As a member of the Service/Expo team, you’ll be working alongside our Culinary Production team and Facilities/Inventory/Receiving team to ensure the smooth and successful operation of our food services at Etsy.

Duties include:

• Stocking and replenishing Pixie Scout product across several food service/vending stations
• Tracking and recording the stocking and consumption of product across several food service/vending stations
• Ensuring that all food that goes into service meets Pixie Scout’s standards of quality and presentation
• Maintaining cleanliness, presentation, and signage across several food service/vending stations
• Culinary prep work as needed to support each day’s service

Job requirements:

• 1+ years of professional food service experience
• A desire to learn and grow as a member of a culinary team
• Understanding and adherence to NYC DOHMH standards and policies (Food Protection Certificate preferred)
• Able to stand for at least 8 hours and complete tasks that may require lifting up to 50 lbs.

Job details:

• Part-Time positions available (8-hour shifts no earlier than 7 AM and no later than 6 PM, Tuesday - Thursday, 24 hours per week)
• Starting pay: $21.63/hr
• All employees accrue Paid Sick Leave
• Shift meals provided from menus that rotate weekly
• Opportunities to augment work with events catering and other Pixie Scout endeavors outside of the Etsy offices

Compensation

this position is: hourly, $20/hr +
