Job description
Manicaretti is seeking a full-time Regional Sales Associate that will manage sales activities across several territories in the United States. In this role, you will be building relationships with current and potential customers, driving brand awareness, and maximizing sales in your designated region. As an integral part of our team, you will be responsible for a diverse range of responsibilities: everything from processing customer orders, to traveling to conduct on-site trainings, to providing recommendations for how to use our newest product. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter and has a positive, outward personality; a history of excellent customer service; and a deep-rooted passion for food. We are looking for a reliable professional that enjoys wearing many hats and relishes the idea of working in a fast-paced, food-focused environment.
Responsibilities:
- Become an expert on our products and producers.
- Answer incoming calls (taking orders, emailing invoices, problem solving, and directing calls to appropriate staff).
- Follow-up on customer leads and inquiries by directing to appropriate sales staff or handling directly.
- Build and maintain trusting relationships with new and existing customers, including retailers, chefs, and distributors.
- Process sales quotes and orders in an accurate manner.
- Work with each department within Manicaretti to ensure customer needs are met and orders are processed efficiently.
- Collaborate with Senior Brand Manager to plan a strategic outline for growth and educational support in your specific sales territory. Reviewed monthly for progress.
- Identify and prioritize sales opportunities at key customer accounts, e.g. promotions, new product introductions, etc.
- Travel - by plane (averaging once per month), and in your own vehicle with mileage coverage (on a regular basis).
- Participate in national and regional trade shows with Sales and Marketing staff.
- Perform occasional in-store demonstrations, special events, and other promotional activities for customers.
- Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities, expand the customer base, and understand competitive landscape.
- Accurately record customer information and sales data in our CRM system.
- Track sales for smaller national customers and ensure regular follow-up.
- Run periodic sales reports.
- Aid in completion of customer documents, new item forms, marketing submissions, spec sheets, etc.
- Other related assignments as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS & ATTRIBUTES:
- Minimum three years' experience in a sales support capacity or in similar position.
- Deep passion for food (cooking a plus).
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Must be friendly with a can-do attitude.
- Ability to work independently; manage multiple tasks efficiently; and plan, prioritize, and complete tasks in an unstructured environment is required.
- Strong work ethic with proven ability to proactively drive issue resolution.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Outlook, Microsoft Office Suite, and other computer programs (experience with Zoho or comparable CRM a plus).
- Valid Driver's License.
- Must be willing to travel and able to work on the road within your sales region.
- Effective working remotely from home office.
Position is full time 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, M-F (hours somewhat flexible).
Location: This position is fully remote, with preferred homebase locations of the Los Angeles, CA metropolitan area; Denver, CO; Chicago, IL; Cincinnati, OH; Salt Lake City, UT; Houston, TX; or Minneapolis, MN.
Position is salaried; exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.

Compensation
