TAPROOM MANAGER

ROUNDHEAD’S 20% FAIR WAGE MODEL
Instead of traditional gratuity or tipping, Roundhead includes a 20% Fair Wage Fee on all food and beverages served in the taproom or food purchased online so we may offer a livable wage to all workers at Roundhead, starting at $22.56 per hour instead of the service rate of $6.75. More information about our Fair Wage Model is located here. The Fair Wage Fee is our way of walking out on tipped wage as a practice in the service industry.
TAPROOM MANAGER COMPENSATION
Roundhead’s Taproom Manager will be compensated $56,310 as an annual salary. This amount is 1.2x the annualized starting rate ($46,925) of Roundhead’s Fair Wage.
TAPROOM MANAGER POSITION
The Taproom Manager is responsible for day-to-day operations of Roundhead’s taproom, especially team and customer experience. Taproom operations include three functional areas: the bar, pizza kitchen, and event space. The successful candidate will lead the taproom team to uplift the Roundhead community and maintain a positive, safe, and welcoming space for the public to gather. They will have a flexible and adaptive work style, with the ability to work both independently and as a team player. They will be a strategic thinker and a planner with strong project management skills.
Reports to: Roundhead Owners
Works with: Brewery, Marketing, Events Team, Vendors, Owners
Direct Reports: Taproom staff (kitchen and bar)
Responsibilities include:
- Daily taproom operations (Wednesday to Sunday)
- Hiring, training, development, and retention of taproom employees
- Taproom inventory and staff schedule
- Food and beverage safety for all
- Taproom event logistics for private and public events
- Event marketing support to attract taproom visitors and contribute to revenue goals
- Facility maintenance, including building maintenance, permits, and taproom licensing
- Operational improvement based on customer and team feedback
Qualifications:
All Roundhead staff are expected to have positive, upbeat interactions with guests, strong curiosity about the brewing process, and deep knowledge of Roundhead Brewing beers and food offerings. Other qualifications for this management position include the following:
- Five or more years of experience in restaurant and/or community management
- Highly developed interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Demonstrated managerial leadership skills
- High energy and passion for Roundhead’s mission
- Customer focus
- Proficient computer and restaurant technology skills
- Strong time management and problem solving skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Compensation
this position is: salaried, $50,000 - $75,000
