Company description
Plymouth Orchards and Cider Mill is a 100-acre certified organic farm along with a Cider Mill that is open September through November. We produce apples, asparagus, and hay. The Emmett family established the farm in 1977 and they continue to play an active role on the farm today. We have about 15 acres of apples, 1 acre of asparagus, and about 23 acres of hay. The apple trees were transitioned from a conventional production model to organic starting in 2014.
The asparagus was planted in 2015. Harvest season begins in May ending in the beginning of June.
In 1985 the Cider Mill opened with a hand pressed batch of 100 gallons of sweet apple cider. Today the Cider Mill produces about 40,000 gallons of sweet apple cider each season!
Currently we are beginning a tree replacement program with Geneva rootstocks and disease resistant varieties. This process began in 2020 and is slated to continue until 2025 and beyond!
