Moonscape Farm is a small nonprofit farm focused on community food sovereignty. We grow about half an acre of low-till organic vegetables, coordinate and support a 40-plot community garden, and run a free CSA for refugee families and local seniors. We are network partners with the Vermont Food Bank and make food available to anyone in need through our Community Fridge/Farmstand.

WORK AT MOONSCAPE FARM
Do you like being outdoors (in all weather), getting lots of exercise, and building community resilience? Do you love vegetables? If so, we would love to meet you!
We use low-till organic agricultural methods. This means managing weeds and pests by hand and lots of emphasis on compost, mulch, and soil health. You will be participating in harvests, weeding, and helping with a variety of other farm tasks.
You do not need prior experience in gardening, just motivation and a passion for agriculture and social justice.
Work is part time (up to 29 hours per week), Tuesday-Friday, with somewhat flexible hours. We pay $15-18/hr depending on experience.
Responsibilities
- Hand weeding
- Harvesting
- Transplanting
- Assisting in farm stand maintenance
- Pest control (this is done mostly by hand)
Helpful Attributes
- Willingness to work hard in most weather conditions
- Enthusiasm, flexibility, and a sense of humor
- Ability to do a variety of physical tasks involving bending, kneeling/crouching, and lifting/carrying 30 lbs repeatedly without strain

Compensation
this position is: hourly, varies DOE, $15.00 - $18.00
