Job description

Overview:

Videri Chocolate Factory is a friendly bean-to-bar chocolate factory and retail space located in the heart of downtown Raleigh, NC. We pride ourselves on treating our guests like dear old friends, striving for excellence in quality of product, and running our company in a socially responsible way.

We are looking for a full-time (36hrs) or part-time (15-20 hrs) chocolate maker. The schedule required is Friday-Monday, with 8-9 hour shifts . The perfect team member will be proactive, organized and an excellent communicator. We are looking for a candidate that has a distinguished sense of taste and smell, has production experience and loves working in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in daily chocolate production (sort cocoa beans, grind nibs, prep ingredients, temper and mold chocolate)
• Operate chocolate machinery (grinders, conches, and tempering machine)
• Weigh and measure ingredients accurately to ensure consistent product quality
• Monitor the chocolate-making process to ensure proper temperatures, viscosity, and texture
• Record and report on production goals
• Perform quality control throughout chocolate-making process
• Maintain a clean work environment (dishwashing, sweeping, and other essential kitchen maintenance)
• Collaborate with team members to optimize production efficiency and meet production targets

Requirements:

• Reliable, hardworking, and positive
• Ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail
• Works well in a team environment
• Appreciation for chocolate and small batch production
• Previous experience in food production or the chocolate industry is required
• Knowledge of FDA regulations related to food processing and safety
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team setting
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
