Located in the serene, rolling fields of Whitefield, Maine, Fuzzy Udder produces a distinctive range of fresh, soft-ripened, and aged cheeses crafted from sheep, goat, and cow’s milk. 2024 marks Fuzzy Udder Creamery's 13th year of operation. We source high-quality milk from local farmers and produce award-winning artisan cheese using organic Jersey cow's milk from Grace Pond Farm in Thomaston and goat milk from Pumpkin Vine Family Farm in Somerville.

Job description

Fuzzy Udder Creamery is growing, and we need an additional team member. We are hoping to find someone passionate about cheese and local foods. The ideal candidate would be excited to learn the art of cheese-making or looking to continue their cheese-making education with a seasoned cheesemaker. The primary activities will be supporting the Head Cheesemaker in the cheese-making process, wrapping cheese and packing orders, and the daily cleaning activities related to making great cheese. Secondary activities include cheese maintenance. The position is full time and some paid overtime hours may be necessary for the busy season (June – September.) Our creamery is seasonal, so work slows down in the winter and picks back up in March. Starting pay is $20/hour. The position begins ASAP. The position requires someone who can lift 50 lbs regularly.

Compensation
