Job description: The Executive Director for WCT will oversee staff, funding, and development of this non-profit. Reports to WCT Board of Directors
Key Responsibility Area #1: Funding and Development
·With the Board of Directors, create annual budget.
·Oversee all fundraising and awareness events.
·Research grant opportunities, write grants and manage reporting.
·Generate ideas and develop strategies for identifying new donors, individual and corporate.
·Oversee donor activity.
·Coordinate and lead annual budget review.
·Work with Money/Finances Team and Storytelling Team to achieve goals.
Key Responsibility Area #2 Staff Leadership
·Serve as staff leader, supervising other staff to ensure appropriate support of all areas of WCT.
·Work with Board of Directors to retain a diverse and qualified staff. Conduct annual evaluations with Board Chair.
·Coordinate with Director of Operations to hold staff/volunteer meetings and trainings.
·Work with the People Team to achieve goals and manage human resource issues.
Key Responsibility Area #3: Strategic Planning
·Work with Board of Directors to complete current strategic plan and evaluate needs for future plans.
·Work with Director of Operations and Board to evaluate community needs/assets to expand reach of WCT accordingly.
Key Responsibility Area #4: Board Development
·Lead Board recruitment efforts and onboarding of new Directors.
·Oversee communications with the Board of Directors, working with the Board Chair to set meetings and agendas
Qualifications:
*proactive self-starter who works well on a team and with limited direction
*excellent interpersonal skills, comfortable networking and relating with a diverse group of people
*professional writing skills
*skill in grant writing and funding processes
*knowledge of food insecurity challenges
*skill in computer-based information systems
*problem solving
This is a part-time job with the expected working hours to be 70-75. The person holding this position will record their time and be paid overtime for over 75 hours in a month with the approval of the Board of Directors.
Compensation
this position is: salaried, varies DOE, $29,000.00 - $32,000.00
