HRN (Heritage Radio Network) is a nonprofit storytelling community shifting the way we think about food—empowering the next generation of food systems storytellers through unique education programs; and enlightening and entertaining listeners through food-focused podcasts. Job description

We’re looking for a Marketing Manager who can help raise the profile of our 15 year old organization during a time of evolution. You'll be the driving force behind our strategy, and behind the growth of our brand, our podcasts, and our education programs. We’re looking for someone who can straddle the worlds of podcast promotion, brand marketing, and nonprofit growth. 

What You’ll Do

  • Drive the HRN marketing strategy, working with the Executive Director to align organizational goals with the strategic marketing plan
  • Lead overall marketing, including social media, web content, email campaigns, podcast marketing, and education program marketing, all while ensuring brand consistency
  • Work with podcast production team and show hosts to ensure the content aligns with marketing goals
  • Create visual and video strategy to complement content, including podcast episode clips and assets, thematic editorial assets, and more, managing video editor and designer
  • Work with brand partners to create promotional strategy and content
  • Design marketing campaigns to attract both corporate and philanthropic underwriters and supporters
  • Maximize website performance, track keyword rankings, and implement SEO strategies
  • Conduct market research and stay abreast of HRN positioning
  • Develop partnerships with other podcasts, influencers, and relevant platforms

What You Bring

  • Proven experience in podcast marketing, nonprofit marketing, or similar roles
  • Strong understanding of content marketing, program design, and social media strategies
  • Familiarity with podcast platforms and analytics tools
  • Great communication and writing skills 
  • Ability to gather input from multiple stakeholders and use that input to make decisions
