Piece by Piece Farm is a seven acre, certified organic vegetable farm located on a former dairy farm in Rochester, Washington. We sell our produce at area farmers markets, the Olympia Food Co-op and through a CSA. We are dedicated to providing our local community with high quality produce that is grown in a way that respects both the people who grow it and the land it is grown on.

Job description

Mornings on the farm typically start with the harvest and packing of produce for farmers markets and wholesale accounts. The afternoons are more focused on projects such as transplanting, cultivating and trellising cucumbers and tomatoes. Some work is done as a team and some work is done independently.

We are looking for someone that is hard working, punctual, easy going, dependable and interested in local agriculture. This position is physically demanding and you will be expected to work outside in all weather conditions (we do monitor and adjust schedules for high temps and air quality). You must be able to stand and bend over repetitively and lift 40 pounds. This job is physically demanding, but enjoyable for the right person.

The crew works 8 hour days and we are hiring both a full and a part time position. In addition to field duties there is a CSA delivery shift available if interested.

Compensation

this position is: hourly, $15-20/hr
