We are a permaculture homestead and online nursery Fruitwoodnursery.com that sells propagation (scion and cutting) wood of a large diversity of fruit trees and small rooted plugs of fruiting plants. We ship all over the USA and throughout the world. We maintain and care for a mature food forest and large homestead annual gardens as well as poultry and a small goat herd. We have lived here for over 25 years and have lovingly tended what was a denuded landscape of bare ground and thistle into a thriving food forest. we work to ensure that a large diversity of varieties of fruiting plants from around the world are kept available for home gardeners. Job description

Looking for 1-2 dynamic individuals to come live and work with us at our robust homestead and thriving family-run online nursery business, Fruitwood Nursery. As a member of a small team this position is multi-faceted. You would be integral to the stewardship of our exceptionally diverse plantings of fruiting trees, bushes, vines and native plants and help with the operation of our online nursery business. Work includes but is not limited to: cultivating weeding, fertilizing, mulching perennial and annual plantings. Pruning, collecting scions and packing customer orders for shipping as well as varied homestead activities as maintaining water lines, brush piling, chipping, fencing and mowing.

Compensation

this position is: hourly, $20/hr +
