Job description
Who We’re Looking For
LOS TACOS No. 1 is looking for an experienced Head of IT to join its fast-paced and growing team. The ideal candidate will be well-organized, deeply knowledgeable about digital products and solutions, have impeccable attention to detail, and be familiar with directing a smoothly running an IT department in the restaurant/hospitality/retail industry. This position requires a leader capable of fostering cooperation and resolving conflicts, clearly communicating technical concepts orally and in writing, and showing empathy toward the team and stakeholders. Strategic decision-making based on data and business objectives, as well as adaptability to technological changes, are fundamental qualities for this role. This position will report to and work directly with the current Director of Finance.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and manage IT activities across the organization
- Direct the analysis of the company’s IT needs and make vendor and/or product recommendations
- Plan and oversee the installation of networks, hardware, and software
- Project manage implementation of all new digital solutions, including review, testing, and training
- Recommend, test and implement a new ERP for the company
- Organize the company’s tech stack to streamline processes and increase efficiency
- Work closely with external programmers in designing a custom web-based portal
- Work closely with external vendors to ensure IT security
- Holding external vendors accountable to service-level agreements (SLAs)
- Develop and implement strategies for digital transformation programs
- Identify and prioritize needs in collaboration with project teams
- Train business leaders and users on platform change management
- Manage current IT tech team
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices
Qualifications
- 3+ years in an IT management role
- Direct experience and technical knowledge in operating systems, networks, databases, and IT security, as well as project management and efficient problem-solving skills
- Experience with AWS servers, FTP, and advanced Excel
- Food and beverage industry experience highly preferred
- Capable of conducting training sessions and creating instructional videos
- Knowledge of IT security and compliance standards and regulations
- Experience with POS systems like Toast, Square, Clover, TouchBistro or others
- Scheduling platform knowledge preferred such as with 7Shifts, ConnectTeam, Fourth or others
- Prior experience with project management platforms like Jira or Asana
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, delegation, and problem-solving skills
- Eagerness to grow and lead within a successful and growing F&B group
Compensation & Benefits
This position will have a total annual compensation in the range of $140-160K. In addition, this position will be eligible for the following benefits:
