Job description
Son of Man and Wolves & People are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Oregon sales representative to build on an existing robust sales foundation for their two businesses. The successful candidate will be responsible for independently representing a micro portfolio of award-winning craft beverage producers throughout the Oregon market consisting of our two brands, with the possibility of one additional, aligned brand at a later date.
Objectives:
The primary objectives of the sales representative include:
- Increase sales and expand market share by opening new accounts in key categories.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts to foster reorders and minimize out-of-stocks.
- Educate customers about the unique qualities and characteristics of the products within the portfolio.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Achieve sales and brand exposure targets set forth by Son of Man and Wolves & People.
Scope of Work:
The sales representative will:
- Set up an independent sales business that will be licensed to represent Son of Man and Wolves & People.
- Develop and implement sales strategies and plans to drive growth and achieve sales targets in conjunction with the Son of Man and Wolves & People teams.
- Identify and prospect new accounts while nurturing existing relationships.
- Conduct product tastings, presentations, and demonstrations to showcase the portfolio to potential customers.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, logistics, and customer service to support sales efforts and ensure seamless execution.
- Provide regular updates and reports on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities.
- Quarterly visits to portfolio companies to stay abreast of new products and be well-versed in production.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of sales experience in the beverage industry, with a proven track record of success - Strong knowledge and passion for craft beverages, particularly beer and cider..
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software such as EKOS (a brewery-specific platform).
- This position requires visiting current and future accounts across the state, so a reliable transportation method is imperative.
- Experienced in setting up and managing their own business entity.
Payment Structure and Compensation:
The Sales Representative will be compensated through a combination of monthly retainer and commission, with additional bonuses for acquiring new accounts. The specific payment structure is as follows:
Retainer: The sales representative will receive a monthly retainer to cover basic expenses and provide financial stability.
Commission: Besides the retainer, the sales representative will earn a commission based on sales performance. The contract agreement will outline the commission structure and may vary depending on factors such as sales volume, product mix, and profitability.
New Account Bonuses: The Sales Representative will have the opportunity to earn bonuses for acquiring new accounts. These bonuses will be awarded based on the number and value of new accounts brought on board within a specified time frame.

Compensation
