The Tavern at Rivertown Lodge is seeking an energetic, enthusiastic sous chef with a passion for food, a strong work ethic and ability to work in a team focused environment.
Our Chef Efrén Hernández was just nominated for a 2024 James Beard Award for Best Chef: New York State and received the 2024 Rising Star Chef from Esquire Magazine. This is a great opportunity for a cook looking to take the next step in their career under a great management team that values mentorship. Our eclectic menu changes with the seasons with locally sourced ingredients from the many neighboring farms here in the Hudson Valley. We make our pastas, bread and ferments in-house, giving every cook the opportunity to learn and/or hone different culinary techniques.
Starting salary for this position is 62k/ year.
We are willing to train the right candidate.
Compensation
this position is: salaried, $50,000 - $75,000
