Job description
The Operations General Manager works hand in hand with Director of Operations by managing the day-to-day operations of our two busy shops. These include a busy daytime cafe, artisanal grocery store and robust catering program. They are responsible for making it all run smoothly; all while also fostering a positive and engaging environment that keeps both customers and staff happy! This role oversees an incredibly dynamic business model so candidates must be problem solvers, energetic, enthusiastic and great multi-taskers!
Some areas of concentration would be:
- Daily Management of the operations of the Retail Shops and all its facets
- Beverage Mgmt: Espresso, Fine Tea & Slushies and others - must be expert level barista
- Service Mgmt and Customer Service Mgmt
- Collaborating with Culinary, Catering, Executive, Inventory, Retail and other teams to ensure continuity for all programs.
- Scheduling, Training, Onboarding and Support of all the FOH Team including Shift Leads
- Inventory & Retail Product Management
- Sanitation and Equipment Maintenance of the shops.
- Utilizing Software and other Apps - must be proficient with Point of Sales terminals, Apple computers, google suite, Slack, Square for Retail, Spotify, Wifi, bluetooth, etc - these are mandatory to manage the shops.
- Advise on Business Growth - using appropriate reporting and guides, suggest and review new items or trends as well marketing guidance and/or outreach and other research that would be appropriate for the shops and the business.
