Job Title: Bookkeeper

Location: 3529 Anvilblock Rd, Ellenwood, GA 30294

Job Type: Part-Time, Remote option

Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to oversee our farm’s financial transactions and records. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and experience with bookkeeping in a farm or agricultural setting. This role involves managing day-to-day financial activities, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and supporting the farm’s overall financial health.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate financial records and manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow.
• Prepare and process payroll for farm employees.
• Generate financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Track inventory costs and assist with budgeting and forecasting.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and tax requirements.
• Collaborate with external accountants and financial advisors as needed.
• Assist with financial audits and prepare necessary documentation.
• Implement and maintain efficient bookkeeping systems and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, Accountant, or similar role.
• Experience in agricultural or farm accounting is preferred.
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
