Siren Sisters, LLC is a women-owned and operated catering service, quaint local kitchen and storefront located in the heart of downtown Fairfax, CA. We are a fairly new and small, but growing business. Our business model focuses on carry out catering, buffet, and family style service. We are a tight knit group with over 30 years experience in the service industry. Our team of professionals is passionate about flavor, seasonal, organic and local ingredients, tradition, and building community through food. We pride ourselves on creating beautiful centerpieces that spark conversation and curiosity. Our humble and gracious staff set the tone to put clients and guests immediately at ease. Our buffets and platters are always dressed to impress and include florals, greenery and decor.
Job description
Hours: 15-20/week in store + weekend and evening events
Requirements:
- Basic commercial kitchen knowledge and experience
- Serve safe certified (or willing to get)
- Excellent knife skills
- Can interpret recipes and execute efficiently
- Willing to take direction
- Physically fit and able to lift 50lbs
- Organization and basic computer skills
- Outgoing personality with customer service sensibilities
- Ability and willingness to be flexible and go with the flow
- *Exercises artfulness and creativity with food presentation & attention to detail!

- confident in leading and executing onsite event setup
Tasks
- Can consistently produce dips, salads, pantry items, dressings and doughs according to standards and recipes.
- Maintains Labels and dates on all products for store sale
- Systemizes and keeps product labels organized and presentable
- Systemizes and keeps packaging supplies stocked and organized, notes and orders when quantities are low.
- Keeps the front of the store organized and clutter free
- Effectively merchandises products and front of store, making samples accessible, flowers fresh, etc….
- Ordering / tracking packaging inventory
- Clearly communicates with custodial cleaning needs.
- Can beautifully execute platters and assemble carryout orders.
- Weekend and evening availability working and setting up events outside of regular store hours.
TIME OFF RESTRICTIONS
- Avoid extended time off during high catering seasons:
- Spring Gala Season: April – June
- Fall Catering Season: September – October
- Holiday Season: November – December
Compensation
this position is: hourly, varies DOE, $25.00 - $35.00
