Job Description
The Foodservice Account Manager will join our team of foodservice salespeople, which functions with a strong team mentality and collaborative environment. Responsibilities of this function include lead generation and new business development, customer relationship management, and representing the brand in various meetings, sales, and promotional settings. The right candidate should be an outgoing people-person, passionate about food, have a strong team mentality and be highly motivated by sales results. The Account Manager will report directly to the VP of Foodservice Sales and Customer Marketing.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Represent Mike’s Hot Honey in sales meetings and customer visits
- Engage with customers through visits, emails, and phone calls
- Build relationships with operators/chefs and distributor partners
- New business acquisition, including independent through medium sized chains based in the western US
- Includes research, outreach, presentations, meetings, and coordination of ordering/distribution to service the business.
- Work toward sales targets based on an individual and team basis
- Management of distributor relationships in the western US region
- Attend food shows and meetings, set up promotions and new items, and work with the distributor sales reps to grow Mike’s Hot Honey business.
- Lead internal and external partners, including brokers, to support the business in a way that’s efficient and delivers strong sales results.
- Attend national food shows and conferences along with other team members
- Includes booth set-up, sampling, lead collection, follow-up, etc.
- Approximately 25-30% domestic travel, including days in the field in the local market (depending on location).

- Ability to work as a team and have open discussion with peers without being defensive, Able to roll with the punches
- Out-going and able to connect with and engage customers and leads
- Self-motivated with ability to embrace change and deliver results
- Hands on, entrepreneurial mindset, positive, growth oriented, good judgment, Ability to get things done, at times with limited resources and tight timelines
- Integrity, credibility and honesty are a must
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years sales experience, with F&B/FDSV preferred
- Passionate about food and customer service
- Excellent written and verbal communication
Working Conditions:
- This is a work-from-home position, ideally located on the west coast or TX
- Approximately 30% domestic travel is anticipated.
- This role reports directly to the VP of Foodservice Sales and Customer Marketing of Mike’s Hot Honey
