Job Description: 
Reporting to the CEO, the Operations Manager is responsible for the day to day operations of a food manufacturing facility, overseeing the execution of food production for multiple channels of business, managing kitchen and shipping staff, and supporting the overall growth of the business.  This role is pivotal in ensuring that our manufacturing and shipping processes run smoothly, efficiently, and according to safety and compliance industry standards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management within the food manufacturing industry, excellent organizational skills, high attention to detail and the ability to lead a dynamic team. You enjoy taking initiative and the management of a project. You're a big team player and like to positively impact the culture and environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Warehouse Management:

• Oversee daily warehouse operations, including staff management, sanitation, and facility maintenance.
• Ensure all safety protocols, SOPs and GMPs are followed and that the warehouse is compliant with FDA regulations.
• Implement and monitor inventory control systems to maintain optimal stock levels and reduce waste.
• Develop and manage production schedules par levels, sales forecasts, private label contracts, etc. 
• Coordinate with production staff to ensure timely and accurate completion of orders.
• * Hire, train and manage warehouse staff 

Purchasing & Vendor Relations:

• Monitor inventory levels and adjust purchasing strategies as needed to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
• Work closely with suppliers to manage ingredient procurement and maintain quality standards.
• Handle the creation and issuance of purchase orders (POs) for raw materials and supplies.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with vendors to negotiate favorable terms and ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Logistics & Shipping:
• Oversee global shipping logistics to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products, including BOLs, import documents, and freight receiving.
• Address and resolve any shipping or logistics issues that may arise.
• Compliance & Safety:
• Ensure adherence to all FDA + HACCP regulations and industry standards for food safety and quality.
• Conduct training sessions to promote a safe working environment.

 Support for Sales & Customer Service/Admin:

• Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to address and resolve any product or order-related issues.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality products that meet customer expectations and deadlines

• Project Management:

• Lead and contribute to ongoing projects aimed at improving operational efficiency and supporting business growth.
•  Identify areas for process improvement and implement effective solutions

 The Ideal Candidate will have the following qualifications:

• 3-5 years Operations and Food Manufacturing experience
• HACCP experience and Better Process Control School certification (acidified foods) 
• Computer proficiency- Microsoft Office and Google Suite
• Experience in HACCP or FDA regulated facilities preferred
• Passion for food and aesthetic presentation
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills 
• Commitment to team-building and fostering a positive, productive workplace
• Strong administrative and planning skills 
• Experience with applications such as Quickbooks UPS, FEDEX, Shopify, Amazon  
• Self-motivated, takes initiative and willing to learn 
• Reliability and consistency with work ethic and attendance
• Ability to move with agility and to lift up to 60 lbs.

Compensation

this position is: salaried, 50k-75k
